Description

The Bauer Supreme FUSE Senior Goal Pad is the pro goal pad for the elite goaltender who wants to command their crease and supercharge their game. With SLID3R Skin, Rebound-Boost Core and PRO+ Elastic Toe System, FUSE delivers a locked-in feel that helps netminders control their energy and move with precision.

SLID3R Skin + Rebound-Boost Core

The SLID3R Skin reduces friction along the ice for fast, effortless slides — important for butterfly goaltenders who measure their game in smooth lateral movement. The Rebound-Boost Core is a responsive core that helps you kick away rebounds with energy and control — fewer second chances for opponents.

CURV Composite Thigh Rise + Mid-Flex Profile

The CURV Composite Thigh Rise uses stiff composite material to seal the ice and strengthen the five-hole. The Mid-Flex Profile is a hybrid of rigidity and flexibility — blending the performance attributes of a stiff pad with the maneuverability of a softer one.

PRO+ Elastic Toe + STABILISLIDE Knee Block

The PRO+ Elastic Toe System acts like a rubber band — stretching off the boot in butterfly and returning to position when you stand. The STABILISLIDE Knee Block directly connects the knee block to the core for improved stability with built-in ridges that control your slide. Recoil Boot acts like a spring for more energy on post pushes.

Bauer Goalie Leg Pads

Find the right size for Youth, Junior, Intermediate and Senior — measure floor to centre of kneecap for best results.

How to Measure

1
Shin Height

Using a soft tape, measure from the floor to the centre of the kneecap. Use the result to find your pad size in the chart.

2
Conversion

1 inch = 2.54 cm. The table shows measurements in centimetres for easy reference.

3
Pad width

Pad width is chosen based on playing style and coverage preference. Standard width is listed per segment.

4
Thigh rise (+1.5")

Bauer's thigh rise design extends coverage 1.5" extra up the thigh — always choose size based on your actual shin height measurement.

Fit A perfect fit means the knee lands in the centre of the knee stack when going down into butterfly.

Youth

Youth Sizes Approx. ages 3–9

Pad Size Shin Height Pad Width
S (20") 31.5–34.5 cm 7.75"
M (22") 33–35.5 cm 8.25"
L (24") 34.5–37 cm 8.75"
Tip For the youngest players — size up if the child is in a growth phase. Youth leg pads are designed for light recreational play.

Junior

Junior Sizes Approx. ages 7–12

Pad Size Shin Height Pad Width
S (26") 35.5–38 cm 9"
M (28") 38–40.5 cm 9.5"
L (30") 40.5–45.5 cm 10"
Tip Junior pads suit younger players who are training seriously. Always measure with skates on for an accurate result.

Intermediate

Intermediate Sizes Approx. ages 12–15

Pad Size Shin Height Pad Width
XS (28") 38–43 cm 10"
S (30") 40.5–45.5 cm 10.25"
M (31") 44.5–47 cm 10.5"
L (32") 45.5–48.5 cm 10.5"
Tip Intermediate overlaps with both Junior and Senior in size. Choose the right segment based on the pad's construction and protection level, not measurements alone.

Senior

Senior Sizes

Pad Size Shin Height Pad Width
XS (32") 45.5–48.5 cm 11"
S (33") 48.5–51 cm 11"
M (34") 49.5–52 cm 11"
L (35") 51–54.5 cm 11"
XL (36") 54.5–57 cm 11"
XXL (37") 57+ cm 11"
Note Bauer's thigh rise design means the pad extends coverage 1.5" further up the thigh than the stated size. A 35" pad effectively covers like a 36.5". Always size according to your measured shin height.

Frequently Asked Questions

FAQ

Should I measure with or without skates? +

Always measure with skates on. Skates add approximately 3–5 cm in height and affect where the kneecap sits in relation to the pad.

What is thigh rise and how does it affect sizing? +

Bauer's leg pads feature a thigh rise design that extends coverage 1.5" further up the thigh. This provides better protection without needing to size up. Always choose based on your measured shin height — not 1.5" shorter.

What is the difference between Junior, Intermediate and Senior? +

The segments differ in both size and construction. Junior pads are lighter and more flexible. Intermediate sits in between with better protection. Senior pads offer the widest coverage (11" pad width) and most advanced materials for competitive play.

How do I choose pad width? +

A wider pad gives more coverage but can reduce mobility. Beginners and younger goalies often prefer narrower pads for easier movement, while experienced goalies favour wider coverage. Senior pads have a standard width of 11".

Can I size up for more coverage? +

It is possible but not recommended. Pads that are too long negatively affect mobility and make it harder to drop into a proper butterfly. Stick to your measured size.
