Bauer Fit System
FIT 1
Narrow
Low volume, narrow heel and toe box. Available on Bauer's top three price tiers. Designed for goalies with a slim, tapered foot.
FIT 2
Standard
Medium volume, standard heel and toe box. Available on all models — the most common fit for the majority of goalies.
FIT 3
Wide
High volume, wide heel and toe box. Available on Bauer's top three price tiers. Best for goalies with a wider foot.
Toe Room
Your toes should lightly brush the toe cap when standing. When skating, they should not touch.
Heel Lock
Your heel should sit firmly in the heel pocket with no lifting when you push off or slide laterally in the crease.
Baking
Most Bauer goalie skates can be heat-moulded for a custom fit. We offer baking in-store — ask us for details.
Width — D & EE
Entry and mid-range Bauer models come in D (standard) and EE (wide) widths. The top three price tiers use the Fit 1/2/3 system instead.
