Hockey Shin Guards Warrior Alpha Pro Sr. -S26
Warrior Alpha Pro Senior Shin Guards — the flagship with perforated slash guards, IMPAX foam and Sling Wrap for the player who blocks shots.
The Warrior Alpha Pro Senior Shin Guards are the flagship for the ice hockey player who wants perforated slash guards, IMPAX foam and the Sling Wrap strap system at the elite level. These top-tier shin guards combine lightweight molded caps with a removable liner and a sub-cell floating knee for full coverage from knee to ankle.
Built to block shots
The perforated, molded slash and calf guards are designed to be as light as possible without compromising protection. The perforations remove unnecessary material from areas where impact is unlikely while keeping it in the critical zones — the knee cap, shin and inner calf are filled with compression-molded IMPAX EVA, the same material Warrior uses at the elite level for shoulder and elbow pads.
A fit that doesn't twist
The Sling Wrap system with Fantom Stretch is the heart of Alpha Pro's fit. It secures the leg in an engineered channel and keeps the guard in exactly the right position throughout the game — no sliding, no twisting. Lay Flat straps don't catch on hockey socks, and the new calf strap delivers even better fit for slimmer legs.
The knee always finds home
The removable liner with sub-cell floating knee is a separate foam unit that moves independently of the main liner. The effect is that the knee cap always sits precisely over the kneecap regardless of how you flex the leg — blocking shots, cutting edges, or deep extension on a lunge. This makes Alpha Pro Warrior's most comfortable-fitting shin guard ever.

Size Guide
Warrior Shin Guards
Find the right size for Youth, Junior and Senior — measure your shin length for the best fit.
How to Measure
Measure from the centre of the kneecap down to the centre of the outer ankle. Measure in cm.
Sit with your knee bent at 90° for a more accurate reading — this prevents the thigh from affecting the result.
Shin guard size is listed in inches and refers to the actual length of the pad — not your height.
The shin guard should cover from just above the ankle to just below the kneecap without blocking the knee joint.

TipWhen in doubt, size up rather than down. A shin guard that is too short leaves the lower shin and ankle exposed and increases the risk of injury.
FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I measure shin length correctly? +
Sit with your knee bent at 90°. Measure from the centre of the kneecap down to the centre of the outer ankle. Measure in cm and compare against the table above.
How should shin guards fit? +
The shin guard should cover from just above the ankle up to just below the kneecap. It should not push up against the kneecap and block the knee, and should not leave a gap above the skate boot at the bottom.
Is it better to size up or size down? +
Slightly too large is better than too small — a shin guard that is too short leaves the lower shin and ankle exposed. That said, too large reduces control and can slide. Always aim for the correct size based on your shin measurement.
Is the sizing the same as Bauer shin guards? +
The sizing system is the same — inch sizes based on shin length. Fit and pad design differ between brands, but the measuring method is identical. You can use the same shin measurement for both.
