New for 2022, CCM Hockey revamps its ever-popular Tacks skate for the modern skater. Tacks 550 are built for strength and power while being lightweight. These skates provide more direct energy transfer and a closer fit to support the most intense skates.
The Tacks 550 features CCM's 3D injected boot. This boot features an ergonomic boot shaping system for great comfort and features a new textured finish for improved durability. This results in a stiffness of 115 which is a solid core for good skating performance. On the front of the Tacks 550 there is a felt tab. This 5mm tongue has foam for comfort and protection. The inside of the Tacks 550 has some comfort and durability enhancing features. The HD microfiber lining is a highly resistant moisture-wicking material that helps transport moisture away from the body and keeps feet dry.

Size guide
Sizing Guidelines: When you receive your skates, try them on and push your foot forward so that your toes (while flat) barely glance the toe cap. Bend your knee forward and look behind the heel of your foot down the skate. If you can fit a finger behind the heel easily, the skates are too big. A fingertip should be securely wedged between the heel of your foot and the back side of the skate. While all players might have their own preference for fit, hockey skates should be 1 ½ sizes down from your shoe size. For most players this will be close to the proper fit. For example, if you are a US Men's shoe size 9, you would want to go with a skate size 7.5.
