New for 2022, CCM renews its Tacks protection line. With the support of science, the Tacks protection has been tested and validated in the well-known CCM lab to ensure quality and functionality. With updates in design, protection and comfort aspects, the CCM Tacks 580 are designed to offer good protection while improving mobility.
The construction of the Tacks 580 has a new anatomical shield design with maximum coverage. ASD puts protection first, provides ultra-comfort and an adaptable fit. ASD is designed to offer the highest quality protection. Together with a front Flexmotion design, which offers competitive protection, mobility and comfort. The shoulder covers on the Tacks 580 are constructed with JDP-injected covers. This improved design at the elite level spreads the impact force away from the shoulders. Down from the covers, the biceps will have height-adjustable biceps protection. This makes it easier to find your perfect fit and gives you a tailored feeling. In addition, CCM has floating arches for collarbones and shoulder blade protection. This is designed for optimal mobility and comfort. One of the most important protective parts of the 580 is the sternum and the spine. CCM uses Vent-Tech liquid sternum hybrid shields. For the middle section, CCM has included an adaptable and removable stomach pillow. This offers customizable coverage to enhance your protection. On the inside of the Tacks 580, CCM has added a sublimated comfort lining.

Sizing Guidelines: The chest measurement should be taken from just below the arm pits. Match the player's chest size to the shoulder pad that corresponds. Also take into consideration the level of play. Shoulder pads should fit snugly while the vital tips of the shoulder must be properly under the shoulder caps. The bicep pads should not interfere with the player's elbow pads.
