CCM Tacks 580 Jr. Hockey Skates
The Tacks 580 has an anatomical fit close to the foot that players are used to with the Tacks line. This form-fitting, 360-degree fit around the forefoot, heel and ankle helps eliminate negative space in the boot, allowing for more efficient energy transfer resulting in improved speed and agility. The Tacks 580 uses CCM's one-piece boot technology. This boot will help players get more direct energy transfer and a closer fit for the most powerful cuts. This one piece boot is built with RFM composite blend. This lightweight NHL-caliber composite compound provides added durability. It has a stiffness of 170 that is lightweight and thermoformable for great skating performance. On the front is CCM's replaceable asymmetrical tongue. This 7mm tongue has reinforced layers for increased comfort and protection. The inside is loaded with comfort and durability-enhancing features. The HD microfiber lining is a moisture-wicking material with high resistance that helps transport moisture away from the body and keeps the skates dry. The internal Multi-Density Memory foam in the ankle areas anatomically wraps around the players' ankles. At the back there is Powerflex tendon protection, which provides improved range of motion.
If you are a player looking for a skate that gives you more direct energy transfer and response, check out the CCM Tacks 580.

Sizing Guidelines: When you receive your skates, try them on and push your foot forward so that your toes (while flat) barely glance the toe cap. Bend your knee forward and look behind the heel of your foot down the skate. If you can fit a finger behind the heel easily, the skates are too big. A fingertip should be securely wedged between the heel of your foot and the back side of the skate. While all players might have their own preference for fit, hockey skates should be 1 ½ sizes down from your shoe size. For most players this will be close to the proper fit. For example, if you are a US Men's shoe size 9, you would want to go with a skate size 7.5.
Tapered: Low volume/Narrow
Regular: Medium volume/Medium width
Wide: High volume/Wide width
