New for 2022, CCM renews its Tacks protection line. With the support of science, the Tacks protection has been tested and validated in the well-known CCM lab to ensure quality and functionality. With updates in design, protection and comfort aspects, CCM Tacks AS-V are designed to offer elite protection while improving mobility.
For the kneecaps on Tacks AS-V, there is a JDP construction at a professional level with D30 Smart material protection on the inside. This cover is designed to spread shock force away from the knee joint while the D30 helps absorb shocks. For extra padding and comfort, there is lining in the knee, which helps to keep your knee in place and offers optimal comfort. Just above the kneecaps on the AS-V is a compressed cast EVA foam Flexmotion thigh protection. This top-quality foam offers professional-level protection, and the Flexmotion design helps keep it moving without disturbing your hockey pants. Tacks AS-V has an anatomically fitting PE Shin cap that gives players protection and durability at a professional level. In addition, there is a tape track that allows players to lock in hockey tape so that the leg guards remain stable throughout the match. In the betting area at Tacks AS-V, CCM incorporated an exposed injection-molded calf protection with D30 protection. This premium-exposed durable calf protection uses the smart material D30 for extra shock absorption, which gives you protection at an elite level against shots in the calf area. To keep everything in place, there are the Adaptfit straps which include a length-adjustable double calf strap plus a padded hyper X locking strap. This adjustable strap helps the leg guards to wrap the calf in all sizes comfortably while the Hyperlock X strap keeps them snug and in place throughout the match. On the inside of Tacks AS-V you will find CCM's removable Adaptfit lining. This removable lining will offer a custom fit if you prefer to have your tongue on the inside.
If you are a high level player looking for comfort, protection and adaptability in your leg protection, check out CCM Tacks AS-V!
Sizing Guidelines: Shin guards are measured best while the player is sitting. Measure from the center of the kneecap to the top of the skate boot. Match the player's shin size to the inches of the shin guard. Shin guards, which are either too long or too short, will result in the knee or instep being exposed and unprotected. Shin guards should be secured with shin guard straps or tape, never tight hockey socks. If you want more in-depth advice on selecting and sizing shin guards, please contact our customer support for personalized guidance.
